Mit Schnee kann es eine Skitour sein, ohne Schnee eine Wanderung, die man auch über das Mittlere Hörnle zur Hörnlehütte erweitern kann. Dann hat man auch eine Einkehrmöglichkeit.

The beginning portion of the trail follows a draw with a river in it and it very nice. Then the trail follows a ridgeline until you get near purschling, at that time it opens up and the views are spectacular. You can continue to go up, the trail gets very narrow and is currently slippery. I would suggest crampons and snowshoes if you are going to go all the way up.

Our friends said we didn't need hiking boots, but I would have been more comfortable with them as well as hiking sticks. it was busy on this holiday, but gorgeous views on both sides of the ridge, most if the way.

Fantastic views all the way along - especially at the top! Quite steep in some points but well worth it. Great if you’ve got walking boots and stick.

This is a hike that is strangely easy as well as difficult at the same time - almost deceiving, I would say. What I mean by that is that the first one-and-a-half hours are extremely easy - it's going up steadily, but it's never too exhausting - but the last twenty minutes are extremely tough. I did this in mid April and there was still lots of snow in this latter part. From what I've heard, even without the snow there are some parts where you need to climb a bit and parts of the trail will have you very close to big drop-offs. The view from the summit is, needless to say, great.

Walk was ok. This is definitely NOT an all year round hike. I did it in mid-April and half way up there was a tonne of snow, trail disappeared and was very hard work. Obvioulsy I checked the weather and could see from another walk in the area that snow still covered the upper parts. Nice waterfalls at the beginning, would have been a nice view from the top but was very misty. Walking down was on a marked path (When we could see it)

This trail took me a bit by surprise - it's quite steep and it goes up throughout the hike (no slowdown). Being in a forest for the most part, it is also not the most exciting at first, but the view at the end - the last 15-or-so minutes of the trail, plus the summit of course, are absolutely worth it - really beautiful. (On the conditions: I went at the end of March. Most of the snow was gone, but there was a section taking about 25 minutes close to the end with lots of snow which was extremely slippery.)

Fantástico. Un paseo con mucha diversidad de caminos. Un excelente panorama y bajando por el Längentalalm bastante largo y solitario.

Super crowded on the weekends, went on a Sunday, with limited parking but great views and a nice intro to the Bavarian Alps.

This trail is not for the faint of heart as it challenges your endurance. It's rated moderate but I give it moderate/hard rating. There are awesome views of Lake Tegernsee and the Swiss alps. Even had some snow cover on the mountains to the left in June. There's definitely a payoff as you get close to to top as you pass cows out in a pasture and they have cowbells on which is music to your ears. The view at the top is stunning! Stopped in at the restaurant at the top for a celebratory beer and struedel! It took 1 1/2 hours to do the winter trail as there is a summer trail that's steeper but will cut off about 20 minutes. We enjoyed the ride down on the ski lift and got to witness a paraglider flying down the mountain we just hiked up. What a great way to connect with the area!
