Traumhaft schön und geschichtlich interessant, über die Schlachtfelder zu wandern

Petit parcours accessible en poussette. Rien d'autre.

Entspannte Wanderung auf gut ausgeschilderten Forstwegen, teilweise Trimm-Dich-Pfad. Vorbei an Wassertretstelle und Brunnen. Toll mit Hunden.

We started at the end of the trail...new construction has replaced the artwork. Don't bother.

beautiful wide and well maintained grounds. breathtaking

Stunning mountain and lake views! Hike down off the trail to the lakeside for even better views and privacy. You won’t be disappointed!

It was an awesome experience walking through this beautiful garden with a wide range of flowers that I’ve never seen before. This place carries a soft fragrance as you walk through these flowers with a clean and calm lake running by the side. I highly recommend to visit this place!

Easy trail, but a bit muddy if raining. Very nice and pleasant lake/riverside views and forest hiking. You pass by a beach as well. Not much traffic on a sunny Saturday. About 2.5 hours total walking time with an average pace of 12 mins/km.

The whole route is gravelly paths and so very easy terrain that means you could probably do the walk in trainers not boots. It’s also very easy to navigate, although following the same path gets a bit monotonous. You follow a pretty stream on the way up and although there was lots of rain, we still did see some trees through the clouds that made dramatic photos. There’s lots of benches (including sheltered ones) so there’s ample opportunities to stop for a break/lunch. I would personally rank the walk as moderate, as it is up for a long way and gets steeper near the top. We walked up from a stream from the ferry at Abwinkl which was a nice addition and so this is a good walk to do if you are travelling from another location.

Easy wide path around a lake. Great for photos, children and dogs.

A lovely way to while away two-three hours. I did it on a bike (which took about 30 mins) and didn't see another soul the entire time. Bad Sulza is not a big place but this is a great way to become familiar with it. There are some lovely views from the road that forms the spine of the trail, almost reminiscent of Tuscany on those hot, Germany sunny days.

Relatively easy hike, with great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Trail is well maintained, and only part of it is rocky/uneven. There is a connecting trail loop, but it is closed past the photo spot on the upper half, and also closed past the benches on the shore of the lake. This trail is pretty popular, especially once you reach the part of the trail leading down to the town/boat docks.

Great, shady trail to get to a great view point of Königssee. Trail is gravely, smooth, and a little hilly but not rigorous. I’d definitely recommend doing it at least once if you’re in the area. And it’d be a good idea to try to find your own viewing point once you arrive at the main site as it was decently crowded when I was there.

Great run passing through parks, the Düsseldorf Altstadt, the Harbor area along the beautiful Rhein river. Lots of people running, walking, riding bikes but with plenty of space it does not feel crowded.

This is an extremely overcrowded trail, but a great (and very easy) one nonetheless. Make sure to also hike up to the Rabenwand (there is a sign to the trail somewhere at the halfway point), which is a fun 10 minute hike to another overview which I prefer to the Malerwinkel itself (and a much quieter one as well). This hike is also very doable by the way in winter (I already did it in early January this year) and the views might be even better then.

I’ve been hiking for years and was on vacation in Germany when I happened to hike this trail. It was the most beautiful landscape I’ve ever seen when you reach the end! Once you reach the lookout point, if you’re able to, climb down to the surface of the lake to enjoy a beautiful private spot. Seriously breathtaking views!

good for strollers and pets

Small hiking loop but has options to extend off of the loop to make a little longer. Mostly flat terrain. Good loop for running. Small park area for kids to play. Free Parking. Dog Friendly.

Flat paved walk along the Rhine River. Nothing especially noteworthy but an OK walk that’s better than fighting city traffic.

Good run path, a little crowded at time. Very gradual inclines when present. Mostly shaded.

Terrific way to wind your way through history...

This is a very nice way to spend the day in the Bavarian Forest. Both the Animal Enclosure and the Treetop Path are highlights when visiting the area. The Treetop Path is wheelchair accessible as are the paths of the enclosure.

A garden island that--while geared more for tourists--nevertheless appeals to those who love to hike. Beautiful plants and flowers, birds, and lake views make for a lovely stroll. Allow at least two hours. Recommend going early in the morning before the tour buses show up.
