Sehr schöner Wanderweg. Der Weg führt fast ausschließlich durch herrliche Wälder, vorbei an Felsen und alten Ruinen.

A great loop that starts and finishes in a charming town. Easy access and a moderate hike whichever direction you choose to travel. The middle half runs along the river and is beautifully shaded and cool.

Parked a bit from the trail head, as there was limited parking (went around 7pm). A gradual up with beautiful viewpoints.

Walking

Nice loop route mostly in the shade. Beter to go clockwise.

I loved the northern part of the trail the most. The bastei bridge is obviously the main attraction but I felt all the recent human made structures like steps and bridges, took a bit of the magic away. You really have to look through that to appreciate the age of the bridge. I honestly don’t understand why they put an ugly bright green sign right in the frame of the bridge.. But, the rockformations are stunning and it is accessible for free, even the part where you’re asked to pay 2€, it is open 24hrs and you’re asked to honestly donate it into a box. So that’s super nice because you can get up there at 7am or even earlier if you want and avoid the crowds. Maybe even do sunrise at the bridge.

Lovely walk. Possibly... my favorite in the area? Keep an eye on your map as there are many side trails. Ram stein Castle is still closed due to COVID-19.

Great Trail to enjoy with nice picturesque spots for stopping by to take pictures. Not so difficult but lot of fun if you like to walk through along the stream .

it's a nice place to spend on a weekend or on a sunny day. I felt good about it's calmness and when had been there ,there were less tourist so it felt like in a lost paradise. walking along the river side and rocks path is like heaven ,but the water was less but still relaxed therz a restaurant to grab coffee, coke ,bear and some food and yes ice cream as well. parking was free.

Beautiful gorge ! I never saw anything like this ! Because of corona once you walk through the gorge you can’t turn back !! So you need to walk around the gorge. We hiked up on the left of the exist and then over a metal bridge. It was quite steep and slipery but we enjoyed the views over the gorge. I think there was an easier way back when you continue along the water as on the map here !

Walking

Lovely walk covering a variety of terrains: forest, fields, and toward the end a beautiful stream and waterfalls. Do take a short detour to Geyersley. The view of the Burg is rewarding. The Burg has a very pleasant biergarten which makes a fine stop.

Fantastic trail! I highly recommend walking it. Start early so there is less people on it and you might even spot some deer or wild boar.
