It is famous for the largest chalk cliffs in Germany, the Königsstuhl, meaning "King's Chair". This is Germany's smallest national Park, and is characterized by its chalky white cliffs and beech forests. Its location on the Baltic Sea makes it an excellent place to view different species of birds.

Here you can expect a beautiful round trip that leads from Neddesitz on Rügen over a piece of the West Coast Trail to Lohme Cafe Niedlich and continue on West Coast Trail back to Neddesitz. The elongated tall beech trees have only a small crown in the upper part and the tidy forest floor already give an interesting existence in this world. The Cafe Niedlich is on this West Coast section and always a nice playground, with a refreshment you can look from the terrace far out to the sea. Behind the cafe, the West Coast Trail is more of a small adventure trail. From the interior there are always small streams, watercourses and even small waterfalls that tillow into the Baltic Sea, so it goes here and there on small Brücklein - catwalks. Back it goes again a piece over the land route to Neddesitz. With a little luck you can still enjoy a beautiful sunset here.Show more
