Popular hiking trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. From the starting point in Willmering it goes on the tar road past the sports field to Prienzing. In the center of the village with the pond and chapel, the hiking trail turns right and immediately left again. A dirt road takes you to a little-used tar road, which you continue straight ahead. At the signpost, the hiking trail branches off to the right. But before that, you should turn your gaze to the left and admire the wayside cross. On the gravel path along the edge of the forest you soon reach the Stockwiesholz with its teaching apiary and idyllic ponds. On the hiking trail, this can be found on the left via a detour. Hikers follow the markings to the right across a ford. Now the path continues on narrow paths through the forest. Soon these turn into normal forest paths that climb slightly uphill. The forest road is soon reached. Together with the Pandurensteig, the hiking trail WW4 leads north-east on this forest path. A sign points the trail to the left over a narrower forest path. Passing a game reserve, Kolmberg is soon reached. In the village, the hiking trail branches off to the left in front of the small church from 1932. Then you have the opportunity to take a detour along the Stations of the Cross to a chapel on the hill on the left. At the next junction, the hiking trail turns right. Via the Schafberg you hike downhill through the forest, often along a very old ravine, to Stegmuehle. After 1 km you reach Prienzing again on an asphalt road, where you return to Willmering on the already known path. Highlights of the hike: - Chapel Willmering - idyllic forest paths - Teaching apiary - Kolmberg Church
