Chammünsterweg

Popular loop trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. From the starting point at the Floßhafen, head along the Regen towards the parking garage, past the outdoor pool and straight ahead to the grassy area where you branch off. You reach Altenstadt on an idyllic path, always along the Regen. There the hiking trail goes to the right in the direction of Aue. After crossing the rivers Chamb and Regen, you can see the village of Chammuenster. If you want to cool off your feet or take a bathing break, you have the option to make a detour to the left to the Satzdorfer See. After approx. 850 meters you will now reach the center of Chammuenster. A visit to the Marienmuenster, also known as the primeval church of the Upper Bavarian Forest, the St. Anna Chapel and the ossuary (Karner) should not be missed. Staying on the main road, you will pass the industrial area of Chammuenster. You can safely cross the main road over the bridge. When you arrive at the traffic lights, cross the street and then come to the southern entrance of the Quadfeldmuehle. This is a leisure area with play and leisure sports areas that can be used in many ways, but also quiet retreat areas for recreation and relaxation. The hiking trail continues in a south-north direction to the northern entrance of the site. On a path across the meadow you pass an inn. Finally, it goes over the so-called "Blue Bridge" back to the starting point at the raft harbor.
