Best trails near Naturschutzgebiet Hölle

Heavenly circular route through the Hölle nature reserve in the Bavarian Forest. The name ("Hölle" means "hell") shouldn't be off-putting, as this is a family-friendly and fantastic hiking trail over hill and dale and past huge granite and gneiss boulders. Most of the time, the trail leads through the Höllbach valley and follows the "Wilder Mann 149" and "RB03" markings. The start is at the car park of the nature reserve. From Brennberg, the number 900 bus to the "Wanderparkplatz Höllbach"...

From the information board on the parking lot at the entrance to Rettenbach, turn north. Then you cross the state road (caution: busy traffic!) and hike past Grubmühle to the Postfelden reservoir and then in the direction of Postfelden. Passing a small parking lot for hikers with an overview board, go straight ahead on a short stretch of the small road and then turn right to the Höllbachhof, which is located directly at the entrance to "Hölle" (nature reserve). Varied stage of the "Goldsteig" long-distance hiking trail, Bavaria. The stage starts at the pavilion between the hiking car park and Falkenstein. First a relaxing stretch to the Tannerl pilgrimage chapel in a tranquil forest clearing, then around the Postfelden lake - and then the highlight of today's tour begins: the Hoelle nature reserve.
