Best trails near Eckstein

This route starts in Rimbach and leads to the nearby peaks of the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park. The peaks along the way include the Farrenruck, the Bärenriegel, the Eckstein, the Schwarzriegel and the Ahornreigel. On the way there are several places to stop and many great views.

Cross the main road from the tourist information and walk along Hohenbogenstraße. Shortly after the Hohenbogen holiday hotel, turn half right and go straight uphill to the edge of the forest. From here, steep and flat sections alternate until you come to a rest area with a fountain.
