From the tourist information office, the path leads to the traffic lights. Here it turns left into Krankenhausstraße. On the way, it passes the turn-offs (left) to the nature trail, (right) to St. Anna's Chapel, a group of death panels, sound installations and benches. From here you can enjoy a wide panoramic view.
Continue along the Nk2, past a farm, you come to the tarred road, which you cross, past the Freibachtaler Totenbretter group and continue towards the forest on the field path. Shortly after the forest tongue, turn left and after approx. 300 m you come to the Brünst restaurant, where you can usually stop for a bite to eat on Sundays.
From here, the trail continues along the edge of the forest, reaches a field path and follows it to the left until it meets a tarred road. There it turns right, crosses the Freibach, meets the Freibachtalstraße, which you follow to the right for approx. 50 m, then turn left, go through the forest, then reach a field path, meet the tarred road and continue on this to the left. On this quiet road you reach the houses of the Au settlement.
