The starting point of this hike is the village square or the bus stop in Rittsteig. After the church, follow Oberkaltenhofstrasse until it turns right. Here you take the mountain path that leads to Neurittsteig. In Neurittsteig you cross the tarred road, go through the hikers' car park to the wooden log cabin of the WSV Rittsteig. After this you turn left into the small tarred road, which you follow to the next property. After this property turn left and follow the trails Nk23, Nk24 and Nk25 for about 1.5 km. At the fork, continue hiking to the right to the rest area at the Red Cross. Here you separate from the Nk25 and hike straight ahead downhill in the direction of Tauschwald. At a fork in the road, which is also a wood storage area, keep right to Lambach, where you then arrive at the Kolping holiday home. In Lambach, the fairytale and ghost castle can be visited. There is also a snack bar. From Lambach, the La3 hiking trail continues to the Osser and Osserschutzhaus. You can also take the footpath to Lam (4 km) and take the VLC-RBO bus line 590 back to the drop off and from there hike back to Rittsteig via the Nk25.
