Höllhöheweg: N5 Loop

From the tourist information office downhill to Walching as far as the bridge (opposite the Pfeiffer sports store), cross it and then turn left and after approx. 40 m turn right again into Entenweg past the Hofmann nursery. Then follow the markings Nk5, Nk 11, Nk3, which run together here, to the transformer station on Tradtstraße. Turn left to the last houses and continue along the Nk5 and Nk3 hiking trail, crossing the lift road and continuing uphill. You reach the Sautrift, an open space where you leave the Nk3 trail and continue downhill to the left until you reach the pass road. Cross the tarred road here and follow the path to the village of Höllhöhe (refreshments available). The path leads past the Waldschlößl inn to the Schindldacherl café-restaurant (closed on Wednesdays). From there, follow the forest path in the direction of Kolmstein. In the village, follow the village road down the hill, where you cross the main road. Walk along a small stream to Mais, where you meet the tarred road, which you follow downhill to the end of the village. Cross the road at Gasthof Vogl Zum Klement (closed on Thursdays) and walk slightly uphill via Vordermais to Gasthof Zur Alm. There, a small path above the inn leads back onto the hiking trail towards the Hofmann nursery to Neukirchen b.Hl.Blut. You can also follow the main road that leads to the outskirts of Neukirchen b.Hl.Blut and walk through the village to the Iglhaut bakery, where you turn right and walk up the steps past a seating area to the tourist information office.
