The meeting point for the hike is the center of Haibühl (also possible in the center of Ottenzell). A piece of Engelshütter Straße, following the exit towards Arrach, turn right after approx. 400 m towards Ottenzell. In the center of Ottenzell, the path continues to the right into Birkenstrasse. From here it goes steadily uphill to Kolmstein with its stations of the cross. The pilgrimage chapel "Kolmsteiner Kircherl" with the former plague cemetery is worth seeing. Here you follow the hiking signs Ar08 approx. 500 m to the left in the direction of Höllkreuz. Immediately afterwards, turning left again, the descent to Stadlern in Ottenzell begins. From here you can reach the starting point in the center of Haibühl on the same route. You can stop off at Gasthof Kolmsteiner Hof, Gasthof Achatz in Ottenzell or Gasthof Meindl in Haibühl.
