Varied hut hike from Schneibsteinhaus to Gotzenalm, Bavaria.
This hut hike leads from the Schneibsteinhaus on the Austrian-German border to the Gotzenalm. Both houses are seasonally managed in the summer months and spoil their guests with hearty food and accommodation (it is essential to reserve in advance!).
From the Schneibsteinhaus it goes steeply uphill past the Carl-Von-Stahl-Haus over a typical narrow mountain footbridge to the 2275 meter high Schneibstein. After enjoying the magnificent view, it goes downhill to the Seeleinsee past the slipstream head.
From here there is another quite steep ascent to the Kahlersberg junction before finally descending on the bridle path and fairly level paths to the Gotzenalm. Panoramic views with a view of the famous Königssee await you there.
