The Hohe Brett is one of the most famous peaks in the Hohe Göll massif. The route via the Brettgabel is particularly scenic and less frequented than the main route to the summit.
From the Hinterbrand car park (subject to charge), the trail leads quite steeply uphill on a mixture of gravel paths, trails, somewhat more challenging climbs and gullies to the summit of the 1805-metre-high Brettgabel. Some of the paths are unmarked but clearly visible. The trail continues uphill via the Jägerkreuz cross on the left to the summit of the 2340 metre high Brett. Magnificent views over the Königssee can be enjoyed from here. The descent leads past the Mitterkaseralm, which is open in summer.
