Loop
Popular loop in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
From the starting point at the Bräuhausgarten (public toilet), take the Wasserstrasse to Roedelangerweg under the bridge. From here you follow the Schwarzachtal cycle path, past the Irlweiher and the outdoor pool, towards Gmuend. In the village you cross the Schwarzach and follow the next turn to the right. At the Heimerl chapel, turn left across the Niebauer wasteland to Kleinenzenried as far as Bernried and then to Marketsried. There is a beautiful view to the south here. The thirst can be quenched in the brewery. Running in the same direction as the long-distance hiking trail and the Main-Donau-Weg, the path in the south of the Galgenberg reaches the Goldsteig, which is followed to the right. From Kleinenzenried, the way back is started using the already known route.
Highlights of the hike:
- nice restaurants
- Goldsteig
- Heimerlkapelle
