From the starting point at Rathausplatz, head south across the Schwarzach and then straight onto Uferstrasse. Follow this along with the Schwarzachtal cycle path in the direction of the Schwarzachtal. Through the underpass of the bypass road you come to the forest area of the Wachsentratt. It continues over the northern slope of the Kühberg into the Schwarzachtal near Thuraumühle. Beautiful flower meadows, an old mill building and opportunities to cool off in the Schwarzach await the hiker. The rest of the way now follows the "Goldsteig" hiking trail until you reach the Hussenbierlstraße. From here, turn left to the Hussenbierl chapel with a view of the Schwarzwihr. Then you walk through the village center with the church of St. Ägidius. The way back begins via the Elmesbierl, past the church and monastery in Schönthal.
