The starting point for this hike is the Stamsried market square. From the market square, walk in the direction of Schloßstraße, then along Blumenstraße. Follow Hildebrandstraße uphill and turn right into Kalvarienbergstraße. Then follow Kürnburgstraße to the left up to the folk musicians' memorial. There you turn right and follow the signs for the hiking trail on forest paths. Alternatively: Forest adventure trail around the Kürnburg (medieval castle ruins, built in 1354, one of the largest and best-preserved castle ruins in Eastern Bavaria). A section of the forest adventure trail takes you back to Stamsried via the nature experience village.
