This route leads through the wild and romantic Wimbachklamm gorge. The thundering waterfalls and rocky gorges can be admired via well-built bridges and footbridges. Even today, fossils in the rock faces tell of times long past when the area was covered by a sea.
The hike begins at the Wimachbrücke parking lot (fee required). There is also a fee to enter the gorge (see tips). After this natural spectacle, continue along the Wimbachweg trail with a fantastic mountain panorama to the popular Wimbachschloss mountain restaurant, where you can stop for refreshments before heading back.
