Popular loop trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
From the starting point in the center of Birnbrunn, follow the Krammerbergstrasse to Solerholz. This is crossed on normal forest trails. After leaving the forest, you cross a meadow towards an abandoned property. Always following the dirt trail you reach a dirt road, which you follow in the direction of the village of Hofen, which is already in the neighboring district. Here you have a wonderful view of the surrounding area. In Hofen keep to the right, up the asphalt road. Past a chapel you soon come back into the forest. You hike over the Himmelberg, where a short detour to a cave is possible. Follow the Solerweg to Tragenschwander Strasse, then turn right onto a field path that leads you towards Birnbrunn. The starting point is soon reached.
Highlights of the hike:
- Soler wood
- Hofen
- Detour to a height (optional)
