Loop trail Zandt - Pfahlhof - Zandt (Za02)

Family-friendly loop trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. A beautiful hiking destination for the whole family is the Pfahlhof. There are many animals here that you can pet and a large trampoline for the children to let off steam while the adults enjoy a cold beer in the beer garden in the "Blasini" country inn. You start in the center of town at the hiking board at the Tourist Info and follow the markings First in a southerly direction, along the Harrlinger Straße to the Trosterauweg crossroads. Here you immediately turn right into the forest path. After a piece of forest you reach a wood processing company, where you keep left towards the main road. Continue right to Riedhof. At the Riedbachbrücke, before the hill, turn left onto a forest path in the direction of Pfahlhof. A forest nature trail accompanies you, on whose informative boards you can learn a lot of interesting facts about the forest and the Pfahl (a quartz rock). The "Heaven's Steps", a steep staircase, leads to the highest point of the "Pfahl", a geologically interesting quartz rock that surrounds the Bavarian Forest over a length of approx. 150 km through. You can relax comfortably in the seating area and enjoy the view. The "Pandurensteig" also runs here. There are two ways to hike to the Pfahlhof. Either along the Pandurensteig along the post to the turnoff to Wolfersdorf and then follow the markings to the left towards the post, or at the Himmelstiege choose the forest path suitable for prams of the educational forest trail to the "Pfahlhof", a cozy country inn. A stop is worthwhile, even if the path has not been difficult until now. The marking takes you past the sewage treatment plant and holiday village back to the starting point.
