Popular loop trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. The hike is about 15 km long and can be completed in about 4.25 hours. Like all Zandt hiking trails, this one also starts at the "sign tree" in the center of town at the tourist information office. The path leads past the kindergarten to the end of Zandt. After the end of the sidewalk you have to walk briefly (approx. 100 m) on the main road. Then turn right onto the cycle path to Harrling. After the hamlet "Riesel", turn left on the Pandurensteig trail. Follow this via Riedhof and continue over the "Pfahl" until you see the village of Wolfersdorf to the south of the path. Here you turn right to the Pfahlweg and goes through the small town of Wolfersdorf. Here it is worth making a detour to the St. Anna Chapel on Stegbachstraße. Follow the markings along the Schatzbergstraße and then turn left onto the main road. Follow this for about 100m, then turn left in the direction of Altrandsberg. Continue following the markings over forest and meadow paths and pass the Jägerhäusl and the Antonius chapel, where you can enjoy a beautiful view past the cemetery to Altrandsberg, where a visit to the renovated castle or the World Art Museum is recommended. Of course you can also fortify yourself in the Gasthaus Laumer for the way back. The hiking trail leads directly past the castle on the right, at the back over stairs and a path to the lower village. Cross the Perlbach bridge to get to the cycle path. Follow this in the direction of Miltach, past the sports grounds and the company ARA-Kunst, where a visit to the factory outlet is worthwhile. Before the cycle path crosses the road, turn left and follow the Pandurensteig uphill through the forest. At the clearings you can always enjoy a beautiful view of Altrandsberg and later also of Wolfersdorf. Follow the signposted path to Pfahl. Here, too, you can take a break at the Pfahlhof, an idyllic country inn. The way back runs together with the Za2 via the sewage treatment plant and the holiday village back to the starting point in Zandt. Highlights of the hike: - Anthony Chapel - Rustic inns - Pfahl - Altrandsberg Castle - Pandur Trail
