Loop trail Altrandsberg Castle - Pfahl (Mi05)

Popular loop trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. From the starting point at the town hall, turn right and immediately left again into the Reiterweg. Then turn right onto the cycle path. You walk past the Kneipp basin, where the feet can be invigorated. Staying on the cycle path, turn left in Untervierau and follow the markings. You hike through the forest and you always have beautiful views of the Perlbachtal. Through Obervierau you walk to the district road, which is crossed. Following the cycle path, you reach the village square with the fountain in Altrandsberg. The castle, which can be visited, is reached via the castle stairs. Alternatively, you can also take a break in the castle restaurant. Continue on the Dorfstraße via the Wolfersdorfer Straße to Kagerhof to the Pandurensteig, which runs on the Pfahl, a 150 km long quartz vein. In the village of the same name Pfahl, you can take a break at the Pfahlhof inn. After a short stretch on the state road, turn left onto a meadow path that leads into the forest. Following the markings, you soon get outside again and come across a meadow path to an asphalt road, which you follow to the left. The hike continues via Eichelhof and Oberndorf. You can safely return to Miltach through the underpass of the B85 federal road. Along the Perlbach, where you also have a beautiful view of Miltach Castle, you then return to the starting point at the town hall.
