SalzAlpenSteig Stage 10: Königssee - Bad Dürrnberg

This route follows Stage 10 of the SalzAlpenSteig, traveling from Königssee to Bad Dürrnberg on a demanding day that crosses onto the Austrian side of the trail. From the lake and valley floor, it passes through forest, partly paved sections, and steeper mountain terrain while linking some of the route’s most distinctive salt-history landmarks, including the Berchtesgaden salt mine and the Celtic traces around Dürrnberg, giving the stage a clear cross-border identity alongside its alpine character. Overnight stays are usually in inns or village accommodations in Bad Dürrnberg.
