This route leads from the parking lot at Königssee, past picturesque boat huts, along the Königssee into the Berchtesgaden National Park. From the parking Koenigssee we go about 300 m to the lake. From there a path leads us to the left past the boat sheds and the other buildings of the shipyard. After a few meters we are in the national park. A little higher, at the Café Malerwinkel we enjoy the first view from the top of the Königssee. We continue our hike to the so-called Malerwinkel. The little effort is worth it: Here, the well-deserved rest, several benches and the view of the 4 km distant pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomew await us. The circular route then leads through the sparse mixed forest in two wide bends to another vantage point. In light up and down and only to the end again steeper at the valley station of the Jennerbahn back to the parking lot.
