Best trails in Lamington National Park
Lamington National Park is located on Queensland's Lamington Plateau of the McPherson Range. Its landscape consists of mountains with panoramic views, lush rainforests, creeks and waterfalls home to many animals, including threatened bird species, making it a great place to hike, camp and watch wildlife.
The park lies on the southern edge of the Scenic Rim, a chain of mountains stretching from the Gold Coast hinterland to Mount Mistake and is joined by parks, such as the Border Rangers National Park in New South Wales. Lamington National Park is made up of two sections — Green Mountains and Binna Burra. Green Mountains section is located on the western side of the Lamington Plateau. The Binna Burra section encompasses the rest of the park to the east.
