We walked from Binna Burra to O’Reilly’s, taking the Coomera waterfall circuit. The Coomera circuit wasn’t very well signed. No indication if we were on the correct track and we had to guess. It was quite a relieve when we joined the border track. Lots of leeches. It was rainy, but not cold. Good walk and beautiful waterfalls.

Great walk, was rainy from O Reilley with a lot of leeches. Comfortable walk, track is well signed.

We did this as a clockwise 2 day loop camping at Mt Bithongabel campsite. 1st day was beautiful walk from O’Reillys down into rainforest valley then an easy walk following Taloona creek, crossing it multiple times with many waterfalls. Mt Bithongabel campsite is small with enough spaces for 2-3 tents (reservations via NP website). We were the only ones there. On our map there was a water source marked and it was confirmed by the volunteer at O’Reilly’s before we left. We couldn’t find it despite there being rain the days leading up. Fill up from Taloona Creek. Second day was a short ~6km hike back to O’Reillys.

Track walked in reverse to recommended route. Long climb from the valley floor up to Binna Burra. Not for the faint hearted. Signage was inadequate from this direction but we fumbled through ok. Took a detour along the Coomera Circuit heading from Binna Burra to Lamington. The waterfalls were worth it! Fantastic walk over 3 days. Looking forward to doing it again in reverse.

Adrenaline rush

Lovely track, lots to see and very well sign posted.

Loved this! Started early from Binna Burra and walked the whole day, took about 7-8 hours. Stayed the night at O’Rielys and was given a ride back to our car by one of the O’Riely family members the next day.
The hike itself isn’t very difficult, beautiful scenery and a pretty quiet track.

I did this one last weekend, anticlockwise, about 5hrs very satisfying walk. First half of the trails was quite normal, just a dull up hill in the woods, and there are quite a lot of people doing trail running on the Border Track to Binna Burra.
when turned off from the Border Track, it was getting exciting, along the way down the Green Mountain there are dozens of waterfalls and the track are rougher, wilder and much more fun too.
I needed to cross the creek quite a few times, and the rock was really slippery. I finally saw the native blue crayfish this time.
highly recommend this one.
BTW, the GPS signal was bad, I tried to record it, but my phone just kept searching for signal., the good thing is the tail is well signed.

Epic trail!

Completed the track clockwise starting at O'Reilys Rainforest Retreat carpark via the Boarder Track. Visited the Naturalist's Cairn Site along the way and stayed the night at Mount Bithongabel Bush Camp. Many waterfalls along the way and no sign of leeches (although it was very dry). Photographers dream - Enjoy!

Completed the Toolona Creek Circuit anti-clockwise starting at O'Reilys car park via the Boarder Track. Visited the Naturalist's Cairn Site along the way and camped overnight at Mount Bithongabel Bush Camp. Has been no rain for weeks possibly months but still water flowing over the many waterfalls and no leeches - highly recommend!

ALSO NOTE: this loop is advertised as 15km, my GPS showed 26km loop - check it out in recordings..

Great falls for skinny dipping!

Very beautiful, takes you up through Antarctic Beech, then down into gorgeous creek lines and waterfalls! Great views on a good day if the cloud isn’t in your way! Beware leeches if it’s wet!
