Rosentour

The cycle tour starts in the centre of Wehrheim (town hall/tourist information office), which can be reached from the train station via Bahnhofstraße. The tour leads along Usinger Straße and Kappengraben to the edge of the forest. After 500 metres in the forest, turn left downhill through the Röllbachtal valley to the Usatalradweg/R6 cycle path. There is also the option of going straight ahead in the forest via Kransberg onto the Usatalradweg cycle path. Follow the Usatalradweg to the end of Obermörlen. At the chapel, turn left uphill towards Steinfurth. After 1.5 km, turn right after the railway bridge and pass under the A5 motorway. Immediately afterwards, turn right and cross the Römerhöfe until you reach the B3. Now turn right towards Steinfurth. The route is recorded via Oppertshofen and then on to Steinfurth to see the Riedwiese nature reserve (storks). In Steinfurth there are various rose nurseries, the Rose Museum and catering facilities, such as the Hinnerbäcker (Stammhaus) with rose ice cream and rose cappuccino. Via Bad Nauheim, the route heads back towards Obermörlen. At the entrance to the village, near the chapel, turn left towards Winterstein. Not far from the motorway service station, turn right uphill to Gasthaus Winterstein. Go past the restaurant to the forester's lodge and then turn left onto the Wehrheim railway. Here you cycle into the Bizzenbachtal valley and downhill via the swimming pool back to the centre of Wehrheim.
