Wetterautour

The tour starts in the centre of Wehrheim (town hall/tourist information office), which can be reached from the train station via Bahnhofstraße. The route leads along Usinger Straße to the Eckhard building materials store. Turn right here and follow the road "Am Kappengraben" out of Wehrheim. Cross Kreuzsteinweg along an apple avenue and follow the cycle path signs towards Kransberg. In Kransberg, cross the road and follow the signs for Usatalradweg/Ober-Mörlen into the Wetterau. Follow the Usatalradweg (R6) to Ober-Mörlen. Pass the sports ground (keep left) and cross the road at a chapel at the end of the village. Cycle towards the cemetery along Gartenstraße and Friedberger Straße uphill out of the village. Turn right between the allotment gardens and continue to the roundabout at the Usacenter (rest stop). Uphill you reach the Wetterau service area, then (at the motorway subway) turn right towards Winterstein. After approx. 2 km you reach the Winterstein restaurant. The route now runs straight ahead to the forester's lodge. Turn left here onto the Wehrheim railway towards Saalburg and the Bizzenbach valley. At the cycle path sign (Wehrheim 3.7 km), you pass the sheep farm through the Bizzenbachtal valley. The tarmac path leads downhill past the wetlands of the nature reserve towards the Wehrheim swimming pool (Bizzenbachtal restaurant). The route returns to the centre of Wehrheim on a road with little traffic.
