Quarzitblicktour

The cycle/walking route starts in the centre of Wehrheim (town hall/tourist information office), which can be reached from the railway station via Bahnhofstraße. The Quarzitblickroute leads past the Wehrheim swimming pool (Bizzenbachtal restaurant), uphill on a tarmac path to the Bundeswehr depot. After the depot, turn right into the forest and continue through a beautiful stretch of beech forest to Quarzitblick (viewing platform at the Köppern quarry). From here you have an impressive view of the Wetterau, the Usinger Land and the quartzite quarry. The route now continues steadily downhill back to the centre of Wehrheim.
