Beautiful short hike to the Fischunkelalm in the Berchtesgaden Alps, Bavaria.
This is an official hiking trail of the Berchtesgaden Tourist Organization.
The hike starts at the landing stage in Salet. To get there, a ship across the Königssee (note the shipping timetable and prices) has to be taken first. From there, the idyllic route leads along the vast banks of the Obersee up to the Fischunkelalm at the lake's southern end. Anyone who wants to go a little further can visit the Röthbachfall, the highest waterfall in Germany, located above the Alm.
There are also places to stop for refreshments along the route—a great hike, ideal for a day trip from Munich.
