Popular loop trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
The starting point of the "Waldecker Rundweg" is at the Bayerwald Tierpark Lohberg. From there the tour starts comfortably through the village of Schwarzenbach. At the upper end of the village you leave the road and the path leads through a light forest path with small climbs up to the Hinterwaldeck. Once there, the managed "Einödhof Waldeck" invites you to stop for a break. There are pastures and a small chapel around the courtyard. The way back leads past a farm at the Vorderwaldeck. There you have a clear view down into the village of Lam and over to the two striking Osser peaks. Then you hike on through beautiful forest paths back to the starting point.
