Loop
Popular loop trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
The starting point is the parking lot at Lam train station. The hiking trail over the Koppenweg up to the Koppenhof (Rathgeb) begins at the small park with a pavilion. Above the farm you first follow the road until the hiking trail continues below the road to the left. After the path continues on the road for a while, turn right, where it continues uphill. From the edge of the forest there is a beautiful view of the Hinteroed farm. Immediately you cross a forest road and follow the La6 on a meadow path to the Einoedhof Vorderoed. Above the farm, the forest path leads continuously and moderately steeply through the forest towards the corner, past the ruined wasteland of Stanzen. Opposite the Berggasthof Eck, several hiking trails now run on the same route (La6, European long-distance hiking trail E6 and Goldsteig). Right at the beginning of the Muehlriegel (1080 m) and Oedriegel (1156 m), the rated Goldsteig offers views of the sea of forests with its valleys and mountains, such as Hohenbogen, Osser, Arber, Rachel, and in good weather even as far as the Alps. When you reach the Waldwiesmarterl (1139 m), you leave the ridge hiking trail, turn left and sometimes go steeply downhill on La6 to Hinterwaldeck. The road or hiking trail La6 and La7 runs below the courtyard in the direction of Einoedhof Vorderwaldeck. Shortly before Vorderwaldeck, turn left onto a forest path, which leads down into the valley to the Lissen district and on via the communal road back to the starting point.
Highlights of the hike:
- Muehlriegel
- Oedriegel
- Views to the Alps
