Loop
Popular loop trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. The Tourist Information is the starting point for this route around Lohberg. From there, the forest path first leads slightly downhill in the direction of Zackermühle. Here the path makes a U-turn and continues uphill slightly in the direction of Huberkreuz and past the leisure sports facilities. Soon after, the forest path ends for a short stretch and you reach the district of Oberlohberg. You pass this part of town via little-used side streets – the Kastlweg, Lindenweg and Lärchenweg. In Oberlohberg you have a beautiful view of the opposite mountain ridge with the Arber, Enzian, Heugstatt and Schwarzeck. Then you continue on a forest and meadow path through the so-called "Fuchshöhle" and past the Schusterkreuz. Here you can enjoy the wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Shortly thereafter you will pass the "Alte Kirche" glassworks - a visit here is always worthwhile - and after a few meters you will reach the starting point at the Tourist Information again. Tip: The garden of the fruit and horticultural association Lohberg is about 200 meters away from the glassworks - entering here is expressly desired! A garden idyll with benches where you can listen to the splashing of the glass fountain. Highlights of the hike: - Fuchshoehle - Beautiful views of Arber and Schwarzeck - Detour to the garden of the fruit and horticultural association Lohberg
