Loop to Rabenkopf with fantastic views, Bavaria.
This is a beautiful and varied hike with an excellent all-around view of the Rabenkopf. The ascent is via the Kohlleiter, to the Orteralm, up to the Rabenkopf, and on the way past the Staffel- and Kochleralm back to the starting point, the train station in Kochel am See.
The ascent over the mountain rescue hut requires sure-footedness but is not difficult to master. The descent from the Kochler-Alm leads over a relatively narrow path, which also involves sure-footedness at one point or another. But the climb is lovely, and it goes off the wide tracks. Alternatively, the ViaAlpina and forest road can be taken back to Kochel, but this route is a bit further.
The Staffelalm and Orterer Alm are ideal for an extended break along the way (note the opening times).
