Marvin-Route Stage 1: Kochelsee - Seefeld

This route follows the first stage of the Marvin Route and connects Lake Kochel with Seefeld. From Lake Kochel, the trail first continues toward Lake Walchen, linking two large pre-Alpine lakes in the opening part of the stage. Beyond the lake, the landscape gradually begins to change. The route continues via Wallgau to Mittenwald, while the broader valley terrain becomes increasingly framed by the mountains of the Karwendel. From there, the stage heads toward Scharnitz and crosses into Tyrol. The final section then continues through Lehenwald before reaching Seefeld. This long opening stage links the Bavarian lake country with valley towns, extended forest sections, and an increasingly alpine setting. Good fitness is helpful for the long day, and enough food and water should be carried.
