The starting point is the church in Treffelstein. The main road, a short stretch of Silberseestraße and dirt roads lead to Silbersee. The Silbersee loop trail (Tb10) takes you along the reactivated engine canal, past the nature observation station and a water wheel, which indicates the location of the former saw mill. Somewhat in the middle of the lake, the markings point you back to the starting point in Treffelstein via a field path.
