The Perlsee hiking trail is ideal for families with children. The pearl-shaped Schwarzach reservoir is located right near Waldmuenchen and can be approached or hiked directly from the city. Since it is a loop trail, you can start the hike anywhere. The tour here begins near the parking lot at the Alte Ziegelhuette campsite. From there you walk past the campsite and down to the natural high ropes course. The path leads past a place where children can play and romp about to the Perlsee Bridge. Attention: If you are traveling with a stroller, it must be lifted or pulled up the steps. Then you follow a paved path along the shore, which later continues as a boardwalk. On the southern side of the lake there is a dam with benches to rest on. Shortly thereafter, at the "Perlsee-Engel", there is another small parking lot that is a good starting point. After about an hour's walk, you return to the car park at the campsite. You can end the hike on the terrace of the Perlsee restaurant - with a fantastic view of the Perlsee.
