On the paths of Wolfram von Eschenbach and to the former castle on the Haidstein: Through the center of the city you leave the city center along side streets in the direction of Zeltendorf, Bachmaierholz and Liebenstein (stop: Wellness Hotel Bayerwaldhof). After a hollow in the valley, the path climbs steadily in the direction of Haidstein (742 m) with its castle chapel. The former keep gives a distant view of the Cham valley. After a refreshment break in the Haidstein mountain inn, you head down forest paths to the hamlet of "Ried am Haidstein". In the center of the village is the mighty 1000-year-old Wolframslinde, where the famous minstrel Wolfram von Eschenbach is said to have stayed Forests in the direction of Gradis.After crossing the main road, the path turns into the original and natural Steinbachtal (stop: Hotel Am Steinbachtal).After crossing the main road and the Weisser Regen river again, you walk on the right side of the river past the Regenstein chapel and via the “Auwiesen” spa park back to Bad Kötzting.
