On the Fischerlweg around Weißenregen: Along the Kurpark and after crossing the bridge at the Roter Steg, you leave the town center on the left and downstream on the romantic Spatilleweg. The first stop is the Magdalene Chapel, where a small staircase leads down to the hidden Fatima Grotto. We continue to the Regenstein, where the poet Maximilian Schmidt, known as the Waldschmidt, once lived in the "Waldfrieden" house. After a flat passage, parallel to the cycle path, the path soon reaches the confluence of the Weißer and Schwarzer Regens and the power plant at Blaibachsee with its huge fish ladder and boat rental. On a short gravel path and further up the Bramesleite you reach the village of Weißenregen with its beautifully equipped pilgrimage church with pulpit. Here you can also enjoy the wonderful view of the Haidstein, the Hohenbogen, the Kaitersberg and Bad Kötzting. The descent via the pilgrimage route with its Stations of the Cross leads back to the starting point in just under half an hour.
