Length: 12.3 mi • Est. 7 h 45 m
This route actually starts with a boat tour over the Königsee, because only then can you reach the starting point St-Bartholomä. From here you follow an ancient riverside path, which leads for about 2 kilometers flat along the Königssee. Then the route goes uphill through the forest, so you can enjoy beautiful views of the Königssee and the Obersee. Past the Schrainbach Falls you finally reach the Funtersee lake and the excellently situated Schrainbachalm at the notorious Saugasse. Here are 36 bends and 400 meters difference in altitude to one. Then it goes on slowly, until you get to the Stone Sea, a about 13 kilometers long and 5 kilometers wide, karst and almost waterless high plateau. The way back is on the same route.Show more

The Heilbronner Weg can be walked from the Kemptner Hütte hut to the Rappensee hut (or vice versa) in one or over the Waltenberger Haus in two stages. It is in two parts: the second part of the Heilbronner Weg from Birgsau, Einödsbach to the Waltenberger Haus. About Bockkarscharte, Bockkarkopf to Rappenseehütte. Then back over the Enzianhütte. At Einödsbach it goes past direction Waltenberger house. Down from the Bockkarkopf, with a great view of the Walteberger Haus, Einödsbach, Fellhorn and Oberstof, to the Sockelkarscharte. From the Rappenseehütte, descend to Enzianhütte. Shortly before Enzianhütte it went over a small snowfield, which was very well groomed. The Schwarzmilferner in the first part of the Heilbronner Weg is much larger. Show more
