This circular route begins at the train station in Sassnitz. There are also parking spaces and you can also travel by bus. From there the path leads to the Jasmund National Park. Via Wedding it goes into the UNESCO World Natural Heritage beech forest of the national park and steadily uphill to the first vantage point over the Ostsse and the spectacular chalk cliffs - the Wissower Klinken.
The Wissower Klinken were a much-visited chalk formation that fell into the sea in 2005 during a storm. However, the view is always worth it. Danger! Due to the risk of falling, you should only step forward to the marked points on the cliffs.
From there you cycle via the Werder to Hagen and idyllically through the forest via Buddenhagen back to Sassnitz.
