The start of this forest hike is the parking lot at the Lixenried cemetery. First, the Burgstallweg (Fu21) follows the "Forstweg" road to the edge of the forest and the sand plain. You continue on the rather natural ridge path to the Burgstall, from whose summit cross there are great views over the Upper Bavarian Forest. If you want, you can have a little picnic here before hiking back down into the valley.
