Popular loop trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. This hiking trail leads into the western ridge around Gleißenberg. From the center of the village it follows paths Gl1 and Gl2 to the tree line shortly after the Schönberger estate, where it then turns left and after a short, steep ascent reaches the clearing of the Berghof. The Berghof is an old, lonely farm with a beautiful mountain meadow and a wonderful view of the Gibacht and the Hohenbogen mountain range. The path continues in the direction of Gaishof, where it reaches the asphalted Schullandheimstrasse just above the Schullandheims. Then the path initially goes in the direction of Ried, but turns left after the school camp into a field path with good views, lined with pastures. When you reach Bergstrasse, you start the familiar return route to the church square in Gleißenberg. Highlights of the hike: - historical Berghof - idyllic field and forest paths - beautiful views
