This hike starts at the Birkenstein car park and leads uphill to the signpost, where you turn left. The Bucheralm is no longer managed, but the Hubertushütte is open between May and November, Mondays and Tuesdays are days off. Before setting out on the hike, however, it is recommended to obtain information about the current opening hours. The same applies to the rustic Kesselalm on the Breitenstein. After climbing Bockstein and Breitenstein and enjoying the breathtaking view, it is possible to take a break here.
