The Schweinsberg lies in the direct shadow of its neighbors Wendel and Breitenstein. Nevertheless, it is worth a hike here, because it is much quieter than on the other surrounding peaks and the view is still outstanding. It is also very easy to reach the Kesselalm, after that it gets steeper, but nevertheless this path is easy to master under normal conditions.

This hiking trail is very long and has a strenuous summit crossing. For the most part, the route contains well-traveled paths, with secured passages on the Hochsalwand and the Wendelstein summit. The view through the Jenbachtal makes it clear that the Wendelstein is the largest peak here. Its rocky, distinctive summit towers above all the wooded heights and is accordingly popular with hikers as a tour destination, despite the cogwheel and cable car.
