Best trails in Rago National Park
Rago National Park may be small, but it offers a wealth of contrasts and unforgettable natural experiences. The wild and fantastic landscape offers rocky cliffs, deep gorges and thundering waterfalls, and magnificent high mountains with eternal snow.
The park's vegetation consists mainly of ancient pine and birch forests, as well as bogs and high-altitude terrain. The bedrock consists mainly of hard, nutrient-poor granite, which leads to a relatively sparse plant life in many areas. However, in the southern part of the park you will find smaller glacial areas and calcareous areas with a richer flora.
With minimal infrastructure, Rago offers a true wilderness experience. Be prepared to fend for yourself, as there are few accommodations and facilities available.
