Best trails in Venman Bushland National Park
Venman Bushland National Park is a small area located in the South East corner of Queensland on Biripi land. It was formerly used for logging before the former owner Jack Venman constructed walking tracks, barbecues, wooden chairs and tables then opened it to the public. As the name suggests, the park's landscape consists mainly of bushland and eucalypt forests that provide shelter to a large number of koalas, ringtail possums, brushtail possums, sugar gliders, greater gliders, swamp and red-necked wallabies, powerful owls plus many other birds. Its creek, tributaries are home to frogs, water rats and eastern water dragons.

Trail reviews for Venman Bushland National Park
I just finished the Venman Track in Venman Bushland National Park, and while it was a beautiful walk, I’d definitely recommend doing it on a dry day. It had rained recently when I went, and parts of the trail were pretty muddy—nothing unmanageable, but enough to make things a bit slippery and slow in places. The track itself winds through really lovely eucalypt bushland and is well-marked from start to finish. It’s mostly gentle with some small undulating sections, and just one hill that got me puffing a bit. There are also a few creek crossings along the way—some had stepping stones to help keep your feet dry, but with the recent rain, the ground was soft and water levels a little higher than usual. Despite the mud, it was still a great hike. Peaceful, with lots of bird calls and the chance to spot wildlife. There are picnic areas and facilities nearby too, which makes it a nice spot to relax before or after the walk. And if you’re up for more, the park has a few other trails to explore. All in all, it’s a great track—just aim for a dry spell if you want the most enjoyable experience.
