Popular circular hike in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
This hike starts the other way round, as the Bl 5 ends - via Kreuzbach, Hetzenberg and Haselstauden to Untergschaidt. After the latter village, turn right towards a farmstead. The path leads mainly uphill to Obergschaidt. From Obergschaidt, you walk via Heitzelsberg and Anzenberg to Höhenried. In Höhenried, leave the tarmac road on the right and walk downhill through the forest. As you leave the forest, there is a marvellous view of the Blaibach Regental valley. Follow the path to the right, which then turns left at a fork towards the main road. After the first houses, cross the road and return to Kreuzbach (starting point Blaibach). In Heitzelsberg there is the opportunity to stop for refreshments.
