Popular circular hiking trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
Starting from the church square, the "Spielberg-Rundweg" follows Schulstraße in the direction of Harras. After entering the forest, turn left after approx. 200 metres at a field cross and follow the forest path for about one kilometre until you reach the fields and meadows. Following the field path, you will come to a rest area on the opposite side of the forest with various information boards such as "Local wildlife", "Forest animals" and "Deciduous and coniferous trees". If you want to enjoy the magnificent view of the Zellertal valley and Kaitersberg, head to the viewpoint 150 metres from the rest area. The hike continues from the rest point above a farm through the "Grüner Berg" forest to the junction with a paved access road to the hamlet of Lippert, where you turn left and continue in the direction of Spielberg/Hill until you reach a crossroads. At this junction, turn right and after about 100 metres leave the tarred road and continue straight ahead along the meadow path until you reach the hamlet of Gsteinet, where you join Gsteinetstraße. Follow this road to return to the starting point of the hike at the church square.
