Fischerlweg 1

On the Fischerlweg around Weißenregen: Along the spa gardens and after crossing the bridge at the Roter Steg, you leave the town centre to the left downstream on the romantic Spatilleweg. The first stop is the Magdalenenkapelle chapel, where a small staircase leads down to the hidden Fatima grotto. The trail continues to the Regenstein, where the poet Maximilian Schmidt, known as the Waldschmidt, once lived in the "Waldfrieden" house. After a flat section parallel to the cycle path, the trail soon reaches the confluence of the White and Black Rivers and the Blaibachsee power station with its huge fish ladder and boat hire. On a short gravel path and further up the Bramesleite, you reach the village of Weißenregen with its beautifully furnished pilgrimage church and pulpit. Here you can also enjoy the marvellous view of the Haidstein, the Hohenbogen, the Kaitersberg and Bad Kötzting. The descent via the pilgrims' path with its Stations of the Cross leads back to the starting point in just under half an hour.
